Basico ma funzionale.
L’unico grosso problema è stato nelle viti che fissavano la vela alla base: si tratta di viti con testa a brugola che andavano avvitate tramite una chiavetta a brugola anch’essa fornita nel kit.
Purtroppo la testa della vite è stata velocemente mangiata dalla brugola, pur avvitando naturalmente a mano. Probabilmente la sede delle viti non era adeguatamente preparata, e la forza per farle penetrare nel legno ha portato a spanare l’alloggiatura della brugola sulla vite. Risultato: vela ballerina non ben fissata, impossibile sia da avvitare che da svitare.
Bloccandola con qualche zeppa siamo più o meno riusciti ad utilizzarla lo stesso.
Sembra strano dirlo ma forse bisognerebbe imparare da Ikea, che sia sul materiale di montaggio che sulle istruzioni non sbaglia un colpo.
Basic but functional. The only big problem was in the screws that fixed the sail to the base: these are Allen head screws that had to be tightened using an Allen key also supplied in the kit. Unfortunately the screw head was quickly eaten by the Allen key, even though it was tightened naturally by hand. Probably the seat of the screws was not adequately prepared, and the force to make them penetrate the wood led to stripping the socket of the Allen key on the screw. Result: ballerina sail not well fixed, impossible to both screw and unscrew. By blocking it with some wedges we more or less managed to use it anyway. It seems strange to say it but perhaps we should learn from Ikea, which doesn't miss a beat both in terms of assembly material and instructions.
